The mere sound of each language hace recordar dos formas de vida
and another of a very cold place with the melodic styles of rap
        music.

The fact of the matter is que nunca me he sentido que vengo del             barrio,
aunque my boys always talked about the next “dope” Cole album.

I never                       appreciated my Dominican culture.
It’s why I always felt slightly out of place speaking and relating to       mis primos que sinceramente vienen del barrio.
It’s why I felt slightly ashamed chuckling at jokes that I didn’t really
        understand or didn’t find funny

Because my parents, in choosing to leave their home, chose to give
        a me life
in which I am able to be part of two amazing communities that              equally define me and make me

¡ME!
