How to Be Happy

First, make sure you decide on happiness at a young age, let’s say before 70. Of course you can still be happy when you’re 71, but it would just feel as though your happiness was going to last for too short a time, because you’re probably going to die soon. Once you have decided that you want to be happy, concentrate on that. Pay all your attention to trying to be a happy person and forget about anything else. For instance, if you have to quit your job because it’s taking too much of your time and it doesn’t let you think about your happiness, go ahead. Jobs are overrated. Happy people don’t need jobs. If you feel like your partner or your children or that boy you met on the subway, who you think is good looking but your friends consider ugly when you show them pictures on his Instagram, are distracting you from your way to happiness, give up on them too. Happiness is about oneself. You don’t need to have nice people or lovely people or people you care about around you. Actually, relationships are harmful and you don’t want this in order to be happy. So, next step is cutting them off. Once you really, absolutely, definitely have no obstacles in your way to a happy you, you’ll probably find out that you don’t like yourself anymore, so you’ll have to discover what is it that is not working, and it’ll perhaps be that you’re alone, that you don’t have a job, or that you’re disgusting. That’s the moment when you’ll have to buy a dog. Dogs make you happy and your dog can be super intelligent so that you can bring her, Piggy (because she sometimes snores like a pig, as if you knew how pigs snore), to a pet contest in your local TV channel, and she’ll end up in American Idol or Hollywood movies (or any other depending on your country of residence) making loads of money, so you’ll find love, money, company, and everything you need in that fluffy, smelly ball, until one day she will die because nature is stupid and didn’t make dogs live forever, so you’ll find yourself unhappy again, dissatisfied, and depressed, and you’ll have to go back to your husband and kids, or to that subway boy, who will probably be somehow resentful of you.
